Complementary Therapies

We have a wide selection of courses on offer, from one day beginner taster sessions to ITEC professional practitioner courses.

Alexander Technique

A skill which improves health, balance and co-ordination, using guided activities, hands-on work and discussion.

Introduction to Life Coaching

This course will enable you to sample life coaching, learn about the fundamental tools of coaching and find out how it can help you, both in a personal and work capacity.

Massage:

'Top to Toe'

An introductory course to include basic massage techniques (Indian Head Massage, face, hand and back) Reflexology, Aromatherapy and relaxation techniques.

A follow on course is also available for those wishing to extend their skills. 

Indian Head Massage

A practical course which includes the face, scalp and shoulders, to soothe away emotional stress. (A good introductory class for anyone wishing to progress to the ITEC IHM Massage course)

Meditation and Relaxation

Learn the basics of meditative practice and hopefuly find a method that suits you. Meditation has been proven to help health, happiness and wellbeing.

Reflexology

Understand your feet and their reflex points to promote relaxation and well being. (A good introductory class for anyone wishing to progress to the ITEC Reflexology Massage course)

Hopi Ear Candling

This is a great treatment for soothing irritated sinuses, stimulating blood circulation and boosting the immune system. A course suitable for home users and as an introduction for therapists wishing to extend their skills. 

ITEC ACCREDITED COURSES

The following courses are intended for those who wish to become professional practitioners or those who need to up-date or extend their professional qualifications. ITEC qualifications are supported by industry and are easily transferable nationally or internationally

ITEC Diploma Courses available to study:

Anatomy, Physiology and Business Practice for Complementary Therapies 

Practitioner’s foundation course for complimentary therapies. This course provides you with a thorough understanding of anatomy , physiology  and business practice.This course is a pre-requisite for those who wish to qualify in massage and other further therapies.

Level 3 Diploma in Massage

As above, but this course also includes Holistic Massage

Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology

A course studying the history and philosophy of this age-old therapy. Covering the reflex zones and the related reflex areas as well as common disorders and ways in which to treat them.You will need to already hold ITEC qualifications in Anatomy , Physiology and Business Awareness or equivalent. If not you must also enrol on the Anatomy, Physiology and Business Practice for Complementary Therapies course.

Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Specialists

A professional qualification that can lead to employment as a beauty consultant, beautician or manicurist. Units studied include skin & eye treatments, make-up, manicure & pedicure, waxing and professional conduct and business awareness.
