Learner Support Funds

If you are enrolling on an accredited or examination course and are having difficulty meeting the costs of additional expenses associated with your course (such as travel, books, equipment, examination fees or child care costs) we may be able to help you through the Learner Support Funds provided by the Learning and Skills Council. For more information telephone Georgina on 020 8460 0020 or email enquiries@baec.ac.uk.

If you wish to enrol on an accredited course but do not think you can afford the cost, and you receive a means tested benefit, you may be able to get a reduction in the course fee. You will need to produce recent confirmation of your entitlement to the benefit.

The College has also created a restricted support fund for students on means tested benefits (see the list on the 'What to pay' page) who may need additional financial support to enrol on a non-qualification course. This support fund will be administered by a dedicated team member, who will be able to let you know within five working days if your application for funding has been successful. This fund applies to course fees only. To find out more about this scheme, please telephone 020 8460 0020 and ask to speak to Sara Hope.
